The Old Rectory is an ideal base to visit Cornwall's Eden Project, Lanhydrock House, a variety of Cornish gardens, unspoilt beaches, Bodmin Moor and many other Cornish treasures.

The Old Rectory offers comfortable accommodation with friendly hosts in a beautiful historic house. The house is surrounded by 3 acres of mature south facing gardens including a productive Victorian walled garden and a viewing deck overlooking the sea. We also have 4 acres of pasture where we produce our own electricity and rear our pigs and sheep.

Thomas Hardy stayed here as a young architect and met and fell in love with Emma Lavinia Gifford. The romance led to the novel "A Pair of Blue Eyes", and to some of his finest poetry.
